On October 4th, the PCCOE Art Circle, in collaboration with DFL, brought something exciting to the table: our first-ever sports contest. This event, designed to promote fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship, was not just a competition—it was a celebration of energy and spirit that brought together students from all departments.
The day was packed with a mix of fun and challenging activities:
Push-up Challenge: Competitors pushed their limits in a friendly battle to see who could do the most push-ups, showcasing both strength and endurance.
Tug of War: A crowd favorite, this event brought teams together to test their strength and teamwork, with plenty of laughs and cheers from the sidelines.
Arm Wrestling: The intense one-on-one matches highlighted personal strength and determination, with competitors giving their all in each round.
But beyond the challenges themselves, it was the sense of community that truly made the event special. There was an incredible spirit of camaraderie as students cheered each other on, working together, supporting one another, and building connections across departments.
This event wasn’t just about competition—it was about creating a space for everyone, regardless of age or background, to come together, stay active, and have fun. The Art Circle, with its fantastic coordination, ensured everything ran smoothly, and the feedback we received was overwhelmingly positive. Students not only enjoyed the games but also appreciated the emphasis on fitness and teamwork.
What made this event even more meaningful was that it’s part of an ongoing tradition. PCCOE Art Circle and DFL are committed to organizing such social and fitness-focused events every year—events that encourage participation from all age groups, creating inclusive platforms for everyone to get involved, stay active, and celebrate the joy of togetherness.
About Activity: On the 5th and 6th of September, we had an incredible experience at the Sakal Yin Skit and Mime Competition, which brought together over 20 enthusiastic teams. Our team poured their hearts into both performances, and their hard work paid off as we proudly clinched second place in both categories. These victories also secured us the prestigious Golden Boy trophy, standing out among 500 participants.
Fast forward to October 5th and 6th, our college hosted the Sakal Yin competition, a vibrant event featuring 19 exciting competitions. The opening ceremony was a grand affair, graced by film star Prajakta Mali, singer Avdhoot Gandhi, Dr. Girish Desai (Executive Director, PCET), and Dr. Ketan Desale. The event drew a lively crowd of around 800 students, setting the tone for an unforgettable experience.
Our Art Circle gave it their all across various categories, including Mime, Skit, solo dance, and more. We were thrilled to secure second place in both the Mime and Skit competitions. A special shoutout goes to Kedar Fulsawange, who was honored with the Golden Boy award for his outstanding contribution.
The Mime team featuring Varad Digraskar, Swarup Kusalkar, Kedar Fulsawange, Vaibhav, Janhavi Chati, Harsh Gumdel, Shantanu Ingole, and Ajinkya Chaudhari performed with precision and passion. Meanwhile, the Skit team, comprising Varad Digraskar, Swarup Khusalkar, Kedar Fulsawange, Harsh Gumdel, Shantanu Ingole, and Sayli Vanjari, left the audience captivated.
Looking back, it was truly a remarkable event that not only showcased our talent but also highlighted our dedication and teamwork.
About Activity: The Art Circle Induction 2024, held on October 15, was a vibrant event with enthusiastic participation from new students. Highlights included a lively Music Jamming Session with First-Year (FY) students showcasing their diverse musical talents. The play "Swarg Express," performed as a tribute for Firodia Karandak 2024, captivated over 300 students, sparking a keen interest in theater.
The event introduced the new Art Circle team and the 11 clubs, emphasizing teamwork, creativity, and leadership. Senior members welcomed the newcomers, and each club representative provided insights into their activities and goals.
A key moment was the Badge Ceremony, introducing the Club Heads, Co-Heads, and the Core Team, who shared their visions for fostering creativity. Mr. Anandkumar Birajdar delivered an inspiring speech on the importance of extracurricular activities. An Alumni Interaction Session featured Mr. Atharva Muley and Mr. Siddhesh More, motivating students with their experiences. The event set the stage for a year of creativity, collaboration, and growth within the PCCoE Art Circle.
About Activity: The PCCOE Art Circle organized an engaging Lantern Making Competition online from October 30 to November 3, 2024, as part of the Diwali festivities. The event brought together enthusiastic students from various departments, with first-year students particularly shining through their participation. Contestants were tasked with sharing a one-minute video and a final photo showcasing their lantern masterpieces.
The competition was smoothly coordinated by Shreya Pawar and Shivam Khetan, both second-year Mechanical Engineering students, and provided a wonderful platform for students to express their artistic talents during the festive season. After the submission deadline, the entries were carefully evaluated, and the winners were announced on November 4.
Special goodies and certificates were awarded to the top three lanterns that stood out for their creativity and innovation. The first prize went to Sarang Kolekar from FYIT, the second prize was claimed by Tanushree Kendle from FYCOB, and the third prize was awarded to Shrushti Sarode from TYCivil. This delightful competition not only celebrated artistry but also infused the Diwali celebrations with a sense of joy and creativity.
About Activity: The PCCOE Art Circle organized the "Light Up The Joy" event from 24th to 28th October 2024 as part of the Diwali celebrations. Designed to foster community engagement and support a noble cause, the initiative encouraged students to paint and decorate traditional Diyas (oil lamps). These hand-painted Diyas were sold to raise funds for a charitable organization. The event aimed to encourage creativity and support a meaningful cause, reflecting our shared values of kindness, empathy, and community support. Students from various departments participated in an artistic workshop, using acrylic paints, beads, sequins, and glitter to create unique and vibrant Diyas. The painted Diyas were sold in a market-style setup, making them accessible to a wide range of buyers. The event was a huge success, not only because of the funds raised but also for bringing people together in the spirit of creativity, community, and giving. It showcased how art can be a powerful force for good, and the dedication of the Art Circle students proved that even small actions can create a significant impact. We hope to make this event a yearly tradition, continuing to grow and create an even bigger impact in the future.

Online Eco-friendly Shadu Ganesha Idol Making Workshop
Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated fervently every year in various parts of the country, especially Maharashtra. The cause for worry for several years has been the amount of pollution both, land and water that’s caused during and on the day, the festival ends. Idols made of Plaster of Paris that are toxic for under-water ecology, all go straight into local water bodies. The idols are often decorated with paints heavy on lead and mercury which once immersed adds to the ongoing process of destroying the flora and fauna of the water body.
With slogan Go green and keep our environment clean, Two days online workshop on Eco-friendly Shadu Ganesha Idol Making was successfully organized on 28th and 29th Aug. 2021 through Google Meet due to Covid 19 pandemic situation. Assistant Professor Shriyash S. Shinde from Mechanical Department was expert for the workshop. 42 beautiful Ganesh idols were made with creativity using shadu clay. Everyone gained knowledge about making shadu ganesha idol, Coloring them, necessity of making shadu idols and responsibility of individual as a citizen towards environment. Everyone enjoyed and appreciated the workshop.

Purushottam Karandak 2022 Competition
Like every year, PCCoE Art circle had participated in prestigious event Purushottam Karandak. The Purushottam Karandak, is an annual inter-collegiate Marathi one-act play competition where students from across Maharashtra representing their respective college participate. The competition is known for giving a platform to amateur actors, some of whom have become professional actors, directors and playwrights.
We presented a play named Hirveen written by Mr. Rushikesh Turai. It is about a college going girl Suman, who tries to commit suicide because her peers at college make fun of her because she wishes to participate in a beauty contest. Further, the story shows how Suman's mother Mangal and her friend Chingi use reverse psychology to make Suman participate in the beauty contest without fearing the outcome. Even though we did not get selected for finals but, performance was flawless and very well appreciated by the judges. Maitreyee Hatwalne BE E&TC won consolidation prize for Acting.
This event provided a platform to showcase artistic skills of students through Acting, Direction, Singing, Music, Dance, Lights etc. through their interestand creativity.
