In association with Rotary Club, Pune, NSS volunteers participated in Maha Tree Plantation event proposed by Govt. of Maharashtra. Total 150 student volunteers were actively participated in the event. Approx 100sample planted by students.

Teaching Activity @ Gurukulam, Chinchwad

PCCOE NSS visited “Punuruthan Gurukulam” at chinchwad and discussed with its coordinator. NSS volunteers designed computer course of 20 hours. In this course volunteers taught installation of OS, troubleshooting, assembly of computes in order to make orphans self sufficient. Total 20 volunteers participated in this activity

Road Safety Awareness campaign

Considering increasing accidents on road, PCCOE NSS conducted a “Road Safety Awareness campaign”. In this event, volunteers urged college students to drive with safety measures and try to avoid mishaps. Total 100 students participated in this event.

Nirmalya collection at the ganesh talav

NSS students of the college help the PCMC during the Ganesh Festival. Nearly 125 students of college work voluntarily on 25/09/2012, 27/09/2012 and 29/09/2012 at Ganesh Talav Pradhikaran. NSS PCCOE is always keen regarding social issue. Water and air pollution during festival is common so as to help the PCMC staff to keep the nearby Ganesh Talav neat and clean students work whole heartedly. Dy Mayor of PCMC Mr. Raju Misal convey thanks to the Principal and students of the college.

YCM Hospital Blood Bank, Pimpari

In association with YCM blood bank PCCOE NSS conducted Blood donation camp.Total 297 Units of blood Donated by students of PCCOE. To cordinate this event total 20 volunteers took efforts.

As per NSS, SPPU guidelines, NSS PCCoE organized 3 days meditation program for NSS students in association with “Heartfulness”. Total 50 students took benefit of this program

NSS WINTER CAMP 2016-17 Activities


Village Survey (Date : 09-01-2017 and 11-01-2017, Time : 04:00 pm to 8.00 pm, Venue: Nikamwadi and Mahagaon)
All NSS volunteers done village survey according to Savitribai Phule Pune University format. Volunteers surveyed issues like members in family, their income source, health issues etc

Issue addressed through Programme: Overall health, growth, education status and problems faced by villagers.

Tree Plantation (Date : 10-01-2017, Time : 11:00 am to 02:00 pm, Venue : In front of Nikamwadi ZP School.)
A group of NSS volunteers cleaned the premises of Nikamwadi ZP School and planted saplings to modify the look of the school. Total 25 trees were planted.

Issue addressed through Programme: Environment around the school should be clean and full of oxygen, hence planted saplings.

Voting Awareness Program (Date : 13-01-2017, Time : 07:00 pm to 10:00 pm, Venue : In front of Mahagaon Temple)
Mr. Deepak Mandekar and his group performed Skits to throw light on current voting trend and various tricks performed by members to attract people towards them. They also presented inspirational songs and gazals on the issue of voting.

Issue addressed through Programme: Mass awakening regarding voting schemes through skits, poems and gazals.

Bandhara Construction and Water Enrichment (Date : 11-01-2017 and 12-01-2017, Time : 10:00 am to 02:00 pm, Venue: Before Bridge of Mahagaon)
Around 40 NSS volunteers dedicatedly constructed mini dam (Bandhara) by creating chain to transport bags from first location to actual place of Bandhara. To construct the bandhara we utilized around 300 bags of masonary material.

Issue addressed through Programme: As Pawana Dams back water flows continuously, it was difficult to use that water for farming and daily usage. By constructinh bandhara over there we increased water storing capacity at that place and made water available for villager to use it daily.

Understanding and Misunderstandings about – Snake and Chamatkarache Prayog (Date : 11-01-2017, Time : 07:00 pm to 10:00 pm, Venue : In front of Mahagaon Temple)
Mr. Atul Sawakhande sir demonstrated and cleared understandings and misunderstandings about snake. He demonstrated Ghonas, Manyar etc types of snakes. He also addressed audience how to cure snake bite patient.

Issue addressed through Programme: Villagers still have misunderstandings about snakes, this program helped villagers to understand snake positively and importance of snake for profit of farmers.

Vittiya Saksharta Abhiyan (VISAKA) (Date : 13-01-2017, Time : 07:00 pm to 10:00 pm, Venue : In Prabhachi Wadi)
All volunteers of NSS PCCoE explained importance and usefulness of cashless society. They convinced villagers about advantages and misconceptions of using ATM cards, using various applications like BHIM app and many more options to be a cashless citizen of country.

Issue addressed through Programme: Villagers were convinced to support cashless economy and make transactions in easy way.

Science Mini Projects Exhibition and Drawing Competition (Date : 12-01-2017, Time : 09:00 am to 05:00 pm, Venue – In Mahagaon School)
Students of school were taught basic science projects to clear their basic concepts of science and drawing competition was held to motivate them to create interest in the field of art. Students participated in the event enthusiastically and came out with very interesting concepts.

Issue addressed through Programme: Students were given opportunity to prove themselves in the field of science and art and boos up their confidence.

Teaching to Students of 1st to 7th Standard (Date : 11-01-2017 to 14-01-2017, Time : 10:00 am to 02:00 pm and 02:00 pm to 05:00 pm, Venue – In Mahagaon School)
Volunteers of students taught various subject like maths, history, geography and science to students of the school. Students also learnt some shortcut methods which are used in mathematics. To make teaching learning process effective we showcased motivational videos to all the students.

Issue addressed through Programme: Students of school were taught many useful subjects effectively with proper applications knowledge.

Skit on Cashless Society and Hagandari Mukt Gaon (Date : 11-01-2017 to 14-01-2017, Time : 07:00 pm to 10:00 pm, Venue – In Mahagaon)
Volunteers thrown light on social issues like importance of cashless society and citizen and hagandari mukt gaon. Skit includes various motivational dialogues and scenes to convince people in the village to adopt positive things addressed through the skit.

Issue addressed through Programme: Villagers were brought to think about problems occurred because of unhygienic living style and importance of using apps and new techniques for cashless transactions.

Shivkalin Mardani Khel by Great Worriers, Pune(Date : 13-01-2017, Time : 07:00 pm to 10:00 pm, Venue : In Mahagaon)
Approx 20 volunteers of great worriers, Pune performed “shivkalin mardani khel” in front of villagers. During this program they have demonstrated thrilling warfare techniques. Attractions of this program were small girls, who were handling weapons very swiftly.

Cultural Program of Students (Date : 14-01-2017, Time : 07:00 pm to 10:00 pm, Venue : In Mahagaon)
Students of Mahagaon were given platform to represent and show their cultural activities in front of whole villagers as well as NSS team. Students had many dance performance, acts, singing songs and laughter’s during the cultural program.

Woman Empowerment Awareness (Date : 12-01-2017, Time : 02:00 pm to 5:00 pm, Venue : In Mahagaon)
Mrs. Jyoti Pathaniya, founder of “Kishor Kishori vikas samuh” guided NSS volunteers on “Women Empowerment & Development”

Issue addressed through Programme: All students were motivated to represent their skills on the stage effectively.

Expert Lecture on “Importance of Research in childhood” (Date : 13-01-2017, Time : 02:00 pm to 5:00 pm, Venue : In Mahagaon School)
Prof. Dr. Sanjay Lakade and Prof. Dr. N. B. Chopade from PCCoE delivered a guest lecture on Importance of research for school children. Students get insight of how their subject knowledge can be useful for finding solutions to social problems. They showed motivational videos also to students on the same topic.
