At the outset, we are happy to announce that the 2nd Graduation ceremony on 21st January 2017 (Saturday) at 8.00 AM to 11.00 AM (followed by Lunch) at Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering was a memorial function at the beginning of New Year 2017.
Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering successfully organized 2nd Graduation ceremony on 21st January 2017, for all the students of PCCoE 2016 pass out batch. There are total 809 students from all branch out of which we distribute 636 numbers of degree certificates to students. The ceremony witnessed a huge gathering of graduates along with their parents and guardians to witness the proud moment of graduation for their wards.
First at 8.40pm, our honorable principal Dr. A. M. Fulambarkar sir welcome function’s chief guest Padmashree Mrs. Lila Poonawalla, (Chairperson of Lila Poonawalla Foundation).
At 9.15 am, The event commenced on an auspicious academic procession from office to stage along with CEO Prof. S. L. Tade followed by students, honorable chief guest Padmashree Mrs. Lila Poonawalla, Shri S. D. Garade (Treasurer PCET), Shri Bhaijan Kazi (Trustee, PCET), Dr. A.M. Fulambarkar (Principal, PCCoE) , Dr. J.S.Umale (Dean Academics), Dr. Sheetal Bhandari (Dean Student Development and Welfare), Dr. S. S. Lakade (Dean R & D) and Prof. S. A. Rawandale (Dean Industry Institute Interaction) and Mr. P. S. Patil (Registrar PCCoE).
At the beginning, the program is started by Sraswasti vandana followed by University song. The occasion was graced by honorable chief guest, Padmashree Mrs. Lila Poonawalla, (Chairperson of Lila Poonawalla Foundation), Shri S. D. Garade (Treasurer PCET), Shri Bhaijan Kazi (Trustee, PCET), Dr. A.M Fulambarkar (Principal, PCCoE) , Dr. J.S.Umale (Dean Academics), Dr. Sheetal Bhandari (Dean Student Development and Welfare), Dr. S. S. Lakade (Dean R & D) and Prof. S.A.Rawandale (Dean Industry Institute Interaction) , Mr. P.S.Patil( Registrar PCCoE) and Mr.S.L.Tade (Chief Examination Officer).
Dr. A.M Fulambarkar, in his welcome address, extended heartfelt welcome to chief guest, dignitaries and all stakeholders and mentioned that the occasion is a significant milestone in the life of students as it felicitates their hard work and dedication. He focused on the four pillar working philosophy of PCCoE that strongly focuses on Academic Excellence, Innovation & Research, Professional Competence and Social Commitment and highlighted efforts and commitment of PCCoE towards nurturing in students the sense of social commitment, humanitarian values, ethical practices and professionalism to make them global citizens who can look beyond geographical boundaries and become good social and responsible citizens of the society.
Honorable Shri Bhaijan Kazi (Trustee, PCET) then congratulated all the graduating students and said 'Graduation day is a point at which you leave us to make your mark in the world'. He further encouraged students to be path makers with a clear vision and goal and advised them to use technical knowledge and professional ideas to bring about innovation on a global level.
Then the program was followed by the most awaited event for the day, ''Graduation Ceremony''. The graduates across all streams of Engineering received the certificate of Graduation at the hands of Hon. Chief Guest Padmashree Mrs. Lila Poonawalla.
After degree certificate distribution, Padmashree Mrs. Lila Poonawalla in her speech congratulated students, management and faculty. She set her own example and shared with students the Golden mantra of Life- to be always happy in all circumstances and in all phases of life. She encouraged students to set small goals, accomplish them and then move ahead towards next goal. She further emphasized on the importance of good communication skills and English as business language of world which is extremely essential to seamlessly fit into the global fabric and be at par with the global standards of excellence.
The formal procedure concluded with Vote of Thanks by Prof. S.L Tade, CEO, PCCoE and National Anthem as a mark of reverence and gratitude towards the nation.
Finally the program was ended with return of academic procession, from stage to admin office.
