Know Japan 2025 was organized by International Relations Cell of PCCoE, Pune, co-hosted by the Consulate General of Japan, Mumbai. The two-day event was held on 10th and 11th October 2025. Various sessions including ‘Guidance on MEXT Scholarship in Japan’ by Ms. Hamuro Megumi, Consul, Culture and Information Section, Consulate-General of Japan, Mumbai; ‘Engineering Across Cultures – Lessons from Japan’ by Mr. Rupesh Metkar, Chief Engineer, Sutra Systems India Pvt. Ltd.; ‘Placement Opportunities in Japanese Industries’ by Mr. Hiro Ishida, Managing Director, Mosaique Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore were conducted.
The event combined academic insights with cultural learning to provide a multidimensional understanding of Japan. Over two days, participants attended keynote sessions by distinguished experts, presentations on higher education and industry trends, and live demonstrations of Japanese art forms such as Ikebana and Origami. The event drew over 450 participation from students across engineering disciplines. It brought together experts from academia, industry, and cultural organizations to share insights into Japan’s advancements in STEM education, its thriving research environment, and career prospects for Indian students.

The 'Know Japan-2024' event, organized by PCET's Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering (PCCOE), Pune, through its Office of Dean, International Relations and Japan Facilitation Center, was held on the 13th and 14th of October, 2024. Co-hosted with the Consulate General of Japan in Mumbai.
Around 20 industry delegates were a part of the event. The event attracted over 1250 registrations and 528 participants attended from across Maharashtra, highlighting significant interest in Japanese culture, education, and opportunities.
The event featured insightful sessions led by experts from various fields, including academics, industry professionals, and cultural practitioners. The sessions provided attendees with a comprehensive understanding of Japan’s educational programs, internship opportunities, cultural traditions, and career prospects. HAMURO Megumi, Consul from the Culture and Information Section, Consulate-General of Japan in Mumbai, Mr. Renya Kikuchi, CEO of SCCIP, Japan, Mr Sunil Kulkarni and Mrs. Prachi Kulkarni, CEOs of Fidel Technologies, Mr Hari Damle, Founder Member of JALTAP attended the sessions and provided guidance.

On October 12 , 2023, International Relations Cell, PCCoE, conducted Know Japan 2023 which focused on career Guidance Sessions, Study and work in Japan, Internship and Summer School opportunities, Experience sharing, Opportunities of Training and Placement, Life in Japan, their Art, Culture and Technology. Dr. Hari Damle, Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth, Pune, guided on the topic “Why Japan for Career”, which included Basic requirements like Language Proficiency, Elementary steps for learning Japanese Language. Ms. HAMURO Megumi, Consul, Culture and Information Section, Consulate General of Japan in Mumbai, attended and addressed the students, Mr. Ulhas Acharya , Director Asian Bridge Consulting Pvt. Ltd. guided on Career Opportunities in Japan, Mr. Ajay Pandit and Mr. Yogesh Dhandal delivered an Interactive Session on Placement Opportunities in Japan and Industry Requirements.
Around 450 participants attended the event.

PCCOE-IJBC KNOW JAPAN was organized by PCCoE, Pune along with the Indo-Japan Business Council to promote awareness of education, career opportunities, industries, and culture in Japan. The two-day event (14th and 15th October, 2022) included technical seminars, career guidance sessions, industry interactions, and cultural activities showcasing Japanese traditions.
The event aimed to strengthen Indo-Japanese relations, encourage students to explore higher education and employment opportunities in Japan, and foster collaborations with Japanese industries and universities.
Over 1,000 students, 65 academicians, and 80 industry delegates participated.
A key highlight was the inauguration of the Japan Facilitation Centre by Consul-General FUKAHORI Yasukata

The event served as a dynamic platform to create awareness about higher education, research opportunities, industry collaborations, scholarships, and career prospects in Germany while strengthening Indo-German academic partnerships.
The event was graced by distinguished academicians and industry experts, including Prof. Bernd Markert and Dr. Helmut Dinger from RWTH Aachen University, Germany; Dr. Sandeep Patil, Director, RWTH India Office; Dr. Arvind Natu, Chairman, GB IISER Kolkata; Mr. Omkar Purohit, Founder, OMKAR Engineering; Mr. Shrihari B. Rasal, Marquardt India Pvt. Ltd.; and Mr. Rohish Kalvit, h2e Power Systems Pvt. Ltd. Their expert sessions provided valuable insights into Germany's globally recognized education system, research ecosystem, industrial practices, innovation culture, and employment opportunities.
The keynote speakers emphasized the importance of building strong technical fundamentals, interdisciplinary learning, research orientation, and industry-ready skills. Participants also gained practical guidance on scholarships, admission procedures, visa processes, internship opportunities, and career planning for pursuing higher education and employment in Germany. Industry experts highlighted the expectations of German employers, workplace culture, sustainable technologies, and entrepreneurial opportunities, enabling students to understand global industry trends.
An interactive question-and-answer session encouraged active participation, allowing students to clarify their queries related to higher education, research, internships, and skill development. The discussions helped participants make informed decisions about their future academic and professional journeys while reinforcing the importance of continuous learning and global exposure.
Explore Germany 2025 successfully fulfilled its objective of promoting international academic engagement by connecting students with renowned academicians and industry leaders. The event strengthened PCCoE's commitment to providing global learning opportunities and fostering international collaborations that prepare students to excel in an increasingly interconnected world.

The event focused on creating awareness among students about higher education, career opportunities, industry exposure, research collaborations and cultural aspects of Germany.
The event was graced by several distinguished academic and industry experts. The key guests included Dr. Sandeep Patil, Director, RWTH India Office; Dr. Govind N. Kulkarni, Director, PCCOE; Mr. Ashish Dugar, Managing Director, MAN Truck and Bus India; Mr. Sahdeep Sharma, Liebherr Group, Pune; Ms. Kshitija Desai, Product Manager, Boeing Digital Aviation Solutions, Germany; Mr. Manoj Barve, India Head, BVMW – German Federal Association of SMEs; Dr. Savita Kelkar, Adjunct Professor, DES Pune University; and Ms. Alicia Padros, Deputy Director, Goethe Institute, Pune. Dr. Roshani Raut, Dean – International Relations, PCCOE, delivered the welcome address, while Dr. Anjali Shrivastav, Associate Dean – International Relations, PCCOE, delivered the vote of thanks.
The programme offered valuable insights into Germany's automotive, heavy machinery, aerospace, SME, academic and language sectors. Industry experts discussed Industry 4.0, electric and autonomous vehicles, AI, IoT, automation, sustainable technologies, digital aviation and opportunities within German Mittelstand companies. The sessions also highlighted the importance of internships, technical skills, German language proficiency and intercultural competence.
Academic sessions provided information about student exchange programmes, dual-degree opportunities, research collaborations, DAAD and Erasmus+, while the Goethe Institute session emphasized the importance of German language proficiency for academic and professional integration.
The event concluded with a networking session, enabling students and faculty to interact with the invited experts and explore possibilities for future internships, academic collaborations and career opportunities. Explore Germany 2024 successfully provided participants with a comprehensive perspective on Germany as a destination for education, research, employment and professional growth, while strengthening PCCoE's commitment to internationalization and Indo-German academic and industry collaboration.
