About Us

From Regional Roots to Global Engineering Solutions

Proposed Vision

"To nurture globally competent and socially responsible civil engineers through learner-centric education, research, innovation, and professional practice by integrating regional knowledge with sustainable, resilient, and intelligent infrastructure solutions for the advancement of society."

Proposed Mission

M1: To impart high-quality Civil Engineering education through an Outcome-Based curriculum that integrates theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and emerging technologies

M2: To promote interdisciplinary research, innovation, consultancy, and industry collaboration for addressing regional and global infrastructure challenges

M3: To develop socially responsible, ethically driven, and environmentally conscious engineers committed to sustainable development and lifelong learning

M4: To foster leadership, entrepreneurship, professional competence, and global perspectives through experiential learning, community engagement, and continuous skill enhancement

Civil Engineering (Regional) programme, introduced in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP 2020), empowers students to learn engineering concepts through their regional language, while developing the technical proficiency and professional communication skills required in a global engineering environment. The programme bridges the gap between foundational understanding and industry readiness by integrating regional-language instruction with internationally recognized engineering practices.

Students benefit from an outcome-based curriculum, state-of-the-art laboratories, industry interaction, field-based learning, and exposure to emerging technologies such as Building Information Modeling (BIM), Geographic Information Systems (GIS), sustainable infrastructure, smart cities, and digital construction. By combining technical excellence with effective communication in both the regional language and English, graduates are prepared to lead infrastructure projects that address local challenges while meeting national and global standards.

Whether designing resilient transportation systems, sustainable water resources, smart urban infrastructure, or environmentally responsible construction, our graduates become engineers who create meaningful solutions for society.

Our department offers Civil Engineering (Regional) , to address how regional language (Marathi) enhances learning, employability, and communication without compromising technical standards.

The program combines internationally recognized Civil Engineering education with the accessibility of regional-language learning. Students graduate with the same technical competencies as conventional Civil Engineering graduates while gaining the ability to communicate effectively with local communities, industry professionals, and government agencies.
