Objectives

To create a platform for students to plan, organize and execute various activities in the interest of student development of the students. Its an association of students for students and by students

To create “an association of students working for students” for their overall development.

To provide a platform for regular and frequent discussions and exchange of views among students.

To provide opportunities for students to develop their leadership and organizational qualities.

To develop student’s academic, professional and personality development skills through various programs, activities arranged by association.

To monitor and control effective conduct of such program ensuring regular attendance, active participation and involvement of students. To carry out feedback analysis after conclusion of the program.

To create awareness amongst the students about professional societies, encouraging them to be a member of these societies.

Major Activities

Techlligent is a National Level Technical Symposium for Engineering students. It is a symposium for Under Graduate students which lead to develop their Technical and Management Skills. The PCCOE has been organizing this National level Technical Symposium event successfully for last few years. This year Techlligent-2017 was organized on 24th and 25th February2017.

Objectives

1. To reveal the technical and managing proficiency among students.
2. To develop ability in students to work as team with analytical and creative mind.

Techlligent Function :

The inaugural function of Techlligent-2017 was organized on 24th Feb 2017 at 09:30 AM in Seminar Hall of PCCoE. Mrs. Arati Dixit, Vice-Chairperson of ACM chapter was the Chief Guest for the Inaugural function of the Techlligent -2017. The student anchoress Ms. Ashwini and Mr. Ronak Gandhi welcomed all the dignitaries and student participants. The formal inauguration started with the lamp-lightening ceremony and welcoming of all the dignitaries – Mrs.Arati Dixit, Dr. A. M. Fulambarkar, Principal, PCCOE, Dr.S.S.Lakde, Dean R&D, Dr.S.U.Bhandari, Dean SDW, Prof. U.R.Shirode, Faculty Convenor and Prof.A.S.Gadhe, Faculty Secretary.

Events under Techlligent-2017:

Total 23 events were organized under Technical-2017. Among which three events were mega technical events. There were two technical events and non technical/management events for each department ( E&Tc, IT, Computer, Mechanical, Civil).

Highlights of Mega Events :

1. Pune Coding League(PCL): PCL event is organised under the ACM Chapter Pune. Total 75 teams were participated. In this event student were given a problem statement to solve in time span of 5 Hrs. The solutions provided by participants were evaluated by offline judge and accordingly winner was declared.

2. Amphibot: Amphibot is an event where participant has to come up with robot which can put down hurdles on its way to reach to its destination. The track was made under water and in first round participated team has to make their robot to sail through water. Upon successfully qualifying round 1, the team will run their robot on track which is partially under water and on land. Total 61 teams participated in this event with maximum allowable group size of 3

3. Bridge the Gap: In this event participants make a bridge model on the basis of problem statement. Teams were selected on the basis of an objective type test in round 1 which comprised of questions related to engineering mechanics. In round 2 selected teams made a model on a given problem statement and then in round 3 testing of the modelled bridge is done. Total 36 teams participated in this event and up to 80Kg load was balanced by bridge made by participant using ice-sticks
