Students Welfare, Grievance Handling Cell


To enrich the welfare of students for their overall development and to ensure welfare Schemes carried out as per plan.


  • To plan and monitor the various student welfare activities, schemes for benefits to the students.

  • To ensure provision and upkeepment of essential infrastructure and other essential facilities to all students of the college, including health, hygiene and safety.

  • To make students aware of various scholarships, financial support schemes of State Govt. University of Pune and other funding agencies.

  • To ensure proper functioning of the student welfare committee, utilization of student welfare fund.

  • To take adequate measures to ensure and maintain student discipline. Necessary vigilance and control to curb any matters, incidences of indiscipline, misbehavior, ragging. Handle matters of such incidences if any and suggest suitable disciplinary measures/ actions.

  • To handle student grievances and suggest remedial measures.

  • Felicitation of students in recognition of their distinguished achievements, performance.

  • To put up ‘Help Desk’ For new entrants (FE and Direct admission) during admission process and initial induction days after commencement of classes.

  • To process nomination on ‘student council’ as per the norms of Savitribai Phule Pune University.

  • To ensure proper follow-up of the college and hostel discipline rules and regulations including college uniform.

Activities of Students Welfare, Grievance Handling Cell

Scholarship for Students

25 students from PCCoE awarded scholarships from Leela Poonawala Foundation (18 girl students), Persistant Foundation (3 students) and Cummins India Foundation (4 students) in A. Y. 2015 - 16.

Special Guidance Scheme

Special Guidance Program is started for FE engineering and ME (HP) students. The main objective is to improve performance of students who were not able to perform well in Engineering Examinations. Special guidance lectures on various engineering topics has given by Prof. N. R. Deore, Mrs. Anjali Sakurkar, Mrs. Ashwini Vaze and Mr. R. T. Jagtap. Total 50 students were benefited by this program.

Prerana - Personality Development Program for Girls

One day workshop “Prerana - Personality Development for Girls” was organized on 8th March 2016 to create awareness and build confidence among girl students. The workshop was conducted under the Board of Student's Welfare Savitribai Phule Pune University. The inaugural function was graced by Chief Guest Shri SanjayKumar Dalwi (Director of Board of Student Welfare, SPPU). The sessions were conducted by Dr. Hemlata Solwande, Shri Ganesh Gupta and Mrs.Sneha Gachke on the topic of Crime against women, law protecting Women's right, Yoga, Stress management and diet. Total 210 girls were benefited by the workshop.

Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp for Students

Two day Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp was organized on 30th & 31st January 2016 to create platform for students to gain in depth entrepreneurial skills. The event was graced by Dr. Diwakar Keskar, Director, Science and Technology Park. The sessions were conducted by experts Mr. Vinod M. Paratkar (Director, IABA Pune), Mr. K. G. Dekate (General Manager, District Industries Centre Pune), Dr. Rijwan Pinjari (Director, Acuitas Group), Shri. Jagdish Kulkarni (Financial Consultant), Mrs. Maitreyee Dey (Freelance Trainer) and Mr. Ravi Rathode (Program Coordinator). Total 98 students have participated in this camp.

Anti Tobacco Campaign for students and faculty

Anti Tobacco Campaign is conducted on 15th Sept 2015 to spread awareness about the ill effects and dangerous effects on health which further leads to cancer due to consumption of Tobacco. During the campaign Mr. Tanaji Shinde (Deputy Commissioner), Mr. Sanjay (Date President of Rotary Club of Chinchwad), Mr. Suresh Mehta (Medical Officer) shared their views with the attendees.

Swachha Bharat Abhiyan

Swachha Bharat Rally and Cleaning Program were organized on 28th Jan 2015 at Pimpri chinchwad college premise. More than 200 students of MCA, MBA and engineering participated in this Social Initiative Program. The program was coordinated by Prof. Sopan Aghav and MCA students under the guidance of Prof. Anjana R. A. (HOD MCA). All faculty members and students had taken oath of cleanliness. The same program was again organized on 3rd Feb 2015 at Akurdi Railway Station by MCA students. More than 250 students participated in the Social Initiative Program.

Karmveer Bhourao Patil Earn & Learn Scheme for the students.

The main objective of this scheme is to develop a student as a multifaceted personality with academic excellence and a commitment to the society. Total 32 (11 Girls and 21 Boys) are benefitted by this scheme. Students working under this scheme are paid an honorarium of Rs.30 per hour.
