Workshops

  • 1. Two days Workshop on ''System Design Flow Using Zynq'' was organized on 28th and 29th June 2016. The event was conducted in association with CoreEL Technologies, Pune by resource person Mr. Mayur Deshmukh (Senior Application Engineer, CoreEL Technologies, Pune. ) Coordinated by Mrs. V. K. Harpale.

  • 2. Two days state Level Workshop on ''Design and simulation of Low power Integrated circuits using HPSICE at Deep Submicron Technology'' was organized under QIP (Quality improvement Program) of SPPU (Savitribai Phule, Pune University), Pune cheduled during 26th and 27th February 2016. Coordinated by Mrs. V.S.Bendre and Mr. U. R. Shirode.

  • 3. One day workshop on ''Exploring Signal Processing'' was organized on 30th March 2016 for TE and ME Students and all staff members by Mrs. Rajani P.K., Mrs. Swati Jagtap and Mrs. M.H.Murai along with BE and ME Students

  • 4. Mrs.Rajani.P.K, Mrs.SwatiJagtap, and Mrs.Ashwini Shinde along with BE and ME students organized a one day workshop for TE and ME (E&TC) students and all staff members titled ''Exploring Signal Processing" on 13th February 2015 in ME(E&TC) Lab under Signal Processing SIG.

  • 5. RC Workshop: 26th to 28th Sept. 2014 A Three Days workshop on ''Reconfigurable Computing'' was organized under the SIG (VLSI and Embedded Systems) of E&TC Dept. for ME faculty, students and researchers across Pune. Dr. S. U. Bhandari was the speaker. The event was coordinated by Prof. V. K. Harpale and Prof. D. S. Khurge. All first Year PG Students actively participated in the organization of event.

  • 6. Workshop for ME E&TC Students to aware and guide them in the available resources in the Department in the area of signal processing. It is also to motivate and encourage them to do MiniProject/Project in the field of signal processing using DSP Processor, MATLAB and Simulink. Organized on 24th Sept. 2013.

  • 7.   • 8. Latex Workshop: The SIG – VLSI and Embedded Systems, has successfully organized Workshop on Latex for the faculty and PG students of E & TC Dept. on 10thOct. 2013. No. of Participants for the workshop was 30 (14 Faculty + 16 PG Students). Dr. J. S. Umale & Dr. S. U. Bhandari conducted the workshop. It was coordinated by Mrs. V. S. Bendre & Mrs. Pavithra S.

VLSI Week/ VED-QUEST


This unique activity provides PG students an opportunity to listen experts and understand industry requirements. Various experts from different domains are invited to guide student on various research topics, project opportunities, industry culture and entrepreneurship prospects. Department conducts this activity every year for PG students.

VED-Quest 2014

A three days event ''VED-Quest-Quenching thirst of Embedded and VLSI Technocrat'' was organized for the students of M.E.VLSI and Embedded Systems under VLSI and Embedded SIG activity from 11th to 13th April 2014. Eleven participants from other colleges also attended the event along with internal students. The event was convened by Dr. S. U. Bhandari and coordinated by Prof. V.K.Harpale and Prof. A. S. Pawar. Students were provided with industry interface through various sessions organized during these three days as follows:

''VED-Quest-Quenching thirst of Embedded and VLSI Technocrat'' was organized for the students of M.E.VLSI and Embedded Systems under VLSI and Embedded SIG activity from 8th to 9th July 2016. The objective of the workshop to bring together expert and expertise from various industries. This workshop will explore project and research opportunities in current VLSI and embedded systems. 1. ''Mind Mapping Techniques for Product Development '' delivered by Mrs. V.Y. Bhalerao, Mechanical Dept. on 14th April 2017.

2. A Hands-on-training session series on front-end design tools by Prof. S. S. Pujari was organized during 24/01/2017 to 28/03/2017. Design flow using ISE and Vivado tools and implementation on ZED board and Virtex-5 was covered in this series.

3. A Guest Lecture on " IPR and awareness of filing procedure with sample case studies' by Dr. M. T. Kolte was conducted on 08/03/2017. with an objective of providing knowledge about process of IPR and motivate the students for innovative ideas.

4. A Guest Lecture Series on ''CMOS Technologies: Fabrication steps and their challenges'' was organized from 30th January 2017 to 13th February 2017. The sessions were conducted by Mr. U. R. Shirode and Mr. A. S. Gadhe.
