MECHPGCON2018 : REPORT
Fourth MECHPGCON 2018 was organized at PCCOE, Nigdi on 15th and 16th June 2018 in which PG students of various institutes affiliated to SavitribaiPhule Pune University from Design, Mechatronics and CAME specialization have presented their dissertation based papers. The conference was organized at PCCOE in association with Board of Studies Mechanical, SPPU.
In this conference 400 papers were presented and in 9 different tracks and 12 parallel sessions in two days. 120 faculty members from various institutes affiliated to SPPU worked as session chair and guided these PG students for enhancement the quality of the PG dissertation.
This conference was inaugurated at the hands of Chief Guest Mr. N.K. Vaidya, Head Prototyping and Manufacturing, ERC, TATA MOTORS. Dr. A.M. Fulambarkar, Principal PCCOE, BOS Mechanical Coordinator and Chair MECHPGCON2018, Dr. A.M. Kate, BOS Mechanical Member and Principal, ZCOER, Dr. P.J. Awasare Co-Chair, Dr. A.S. Padalkar, Dr N R Deore secretary , Prof. S B Matekar Joint secretary were present. Prof. A.A. Panchwadkar Joint secretary for the conference briefed about the conference. Dr. A.M. Fulambarkar in his welcome speech expressed the role of technical institutes in inculcating the research environment and selection of projects based on societal needs to make life of common people more comfortable. Dr. P.J.Awasare and Dr. A.S.Padalkar explained the journey of MECHPGCON. In the address to the participants Chief Guest Mr. N.K Vaidya gave awareness about the current scenario of Indian industries and unrevealed the forthcoming challenges. The needs of customers are changing and for complying these needs the research should be oriented in right direction for becoming successful. Dr. N.R. Deore secretary of the conference expresses vote of thanks and offered best wishes to the participants for their stay in the campus for the two day conference MECHPGCON 2018.
