Prof. P. B. Kulkarni, Prof. D. N. Railkar, Prof. A. A. Jain, Prof. P. P. Katyare, Prof. S. A. Aghav, Prof. S. N. Borkar and Prof. P. K. Ukhalkar from PCCoE MCA have participated in one day FDP on Track III: Information Management and Quality Control of MCA 2015 Syllabus and Discussion on Question paper pattern of Track I and Track III Subjects. This FDP was organized by Institute of Management and Career Courses (IMCC) and Savitribai Phule Pune University on Saturday, 17th Sept 2016 from 10am to 5pm.
As a part of Soft Skill – Presentation Subject and to enhance presentation skills of students, MCA Department has organized a Soft Skill Presentation Activity on 8th September 2016. More than 50 SYMCA students actively participated and shown their Presentation skill through Activities like Storytelling, Informative Presentations, Speeches, Act Plays, Mime , Role Plays etc. Prof. Prof. Anjana Arakerimath (HOD-MCA) and all MCA Faculty members were present for this Activity. Prof. Sopan Aghav was the coordinator of this Activity.
MCA Department has successfully organized Two Days Workshop on Computer Networks & Cyber Security through CYBERNETREK Team Initiative under the guidance of Subject Teachers Prof. Prakash K. Ukhalkar and Prof. Dipali N. Railkar on 6th & 7th September 2016.
The aim of the workshop was to have an open discussion, demonstrations and exchange of ideas among the MCA students on Computer Networks, Data Communication, Information and Cyber Security domains.
The workshop was conducted by MCA Students Group called CYBERNETREK Team who has a common interest in Data Communication, Computer Networks & Information Security subjects. It was successfully conducted on 06th and 07th September 2016 for SYMCA and FYMCA students respectively.

Prof. A. A. Jain and Prof. R. C. Sangole PCCoE MCA have participated in one day FDP on Track I : Software and Application Development of MCA 2015 Syllabus. This FDP was organized by Dr. D. Y. Patil Institute of MCA and Savitribai Phule Pune University on Saturday, 27th August 2016 from 10am to 5pm.
MCA Department has organized Parent Meet on 26th August 2016. More than 70 parents from different places were present for the meet. During the meet MCA department had interaction with parents regarding MCA curriculum, various policies, facilities and infrastructure, student performance etc. During the meet parent suggestions and feedback were noted. Mr. Ravindra Dharmadhikari and Mrs. Snehal Inamdar were the parent representatives. Prof. Sopan Aghav was the coordinator for this parent meet.
MCA Department has organized Induction Program - 2016 on Friday, 26th August, 2016 for MCA students. The event was inaugurated by Principal Dr. A. M. Fulambarkar. Guest speaker, Mr. Tanmoy Adak, Delivery Manager, BitWise Solutions, Pune and Head of the Department Prof. Anjana R. Arakerimath.
The aim of the program was to ensure that every student of MCA department feel welcomed, engaged and excited to begin with their new and important stage of the education. Students who have remarkable achievement in university results were felicited by all the dignitaries in the program. More than 250 participants including students, parents and faculty members attended the program. Prof. Prakash K. Ukhalkar successfully coordinated the Induction Program.
Prof. Anand Jain participated in workshop on “Quality Excellence through Accreditation”, on 15th and 16th July 2016, organized by MIT School of Management (MITSOM), Kothrud, Pune; with the objective to understand the procedural approach and documentation related to NBA accreditation for MCA. This two day workshop was divided into seven sessions:
“The power to concentrate is the most important thing. On every stage of intellectual ability, concentration is the key to success.” With following this thought Process, PCCoE-Student Counseling Cell organized guest lecture organized on “Techniques of Concentration” on 29/06/2016, Wednesday at MCA Seminar hall for the faculty and students of MCA department. Dr. Rajeev Ajit Nagarkar, Counselor and Founder of Manachi Vyayamshala Clinic, was the speaker for guest lecture. More than 60 students and 9 Faculty Members attended this Guest lecture. Prof. Sopan Aghav –MCA department was the coordinator for this guest lecture.
MCA department has organized workshop on Logic Building from 21st December 2015 to 23rd December 2015. This workshop was organized for FYMCA with an objective to improve the logical thinking of students. The workshop was conducted by Prof. Anand Jain (Asst. Prof., MCA). At the end of workshop students were able to apply an appropriate problem-solving method for developing an algorithmic solution to a problem; and implement an algorithmic solution to a problem using C programming language.
MCA department has organized workshop on Linux from 21st December 2015 to 23rd December 2015. This workshop was organized for SYMCA with an objective to gain the knowledge of Linux Operating System and Linux Programming among students. The workshop was conducted by Prof. Kute (Asst. Prof., Sandip Institute, Nasik). At the end of workshop students were able to use Linux Operating System; have basic knowledge of Linux Administrations; and demonstrated basics of Shell Programming.
Insperia - 2016 is a state level Techno-Management event for students, hosted by Department of MCA. It is a symposium for under graduate and post graduate students which lead to develop their technical and management Skills. The event was organized with the objective to provide a platform for under graduate and post graduate Management and Computer Application students to reflect Business Skills, Technical Competencies, Knowledge Sharing and Application with Experimental learning. The event was inaugurated by lightening the lamp followed by welcome address by Prof. Prashant Kulkarni (Convener, Insperia 2016), keynote address on “Innovations in IT” by chief guest Mrs. Shilpa Dhavale (Associate vice President, KPIT) and motivational speech by Dr. A. M. Fulambarkar (Principal, PCCoE). Principal Sir has also highlighted about various sectors in IT industry, on which students need to explore and work for their future. His speech helped to sprout up the inner confidence and hidden talents in our students. During the inaugural function, MCA students presented a skit on Save Water, in which they demonstrated the importance of water in human life and possible ways to save it.

MCA department has organized Swachha Bharat Rally and Cleaning Program at Akurdi Railway Station on 3rd Feb 2015. More than 250 students of all departments participated in the social Initiative Program. Prof. Sopan Aghav was the co-coordinator of the Program. Mr. Raju Misal, Ex- Dy. Mayor,PCMC ; Mr. Anil Kumar, Station Master-Akurdi railway station; Mr. Narendra Raje, Akurdi Police station; Prof. Anjana R. Arakerimath., HOD-MCA and faculty members were present for program. MCA students performed awareness skit of Cleanliness. Also they cleaned Akurdi railway station premise. Department has donated four dustbins and displayed cleaning awareness banners at Akurdi railway station.

Prof. Sopan Aghav was the co-coordinator of the Program. Dr. Jayant Umale- Dean Academics, Prof. Anjana R. Arakerimath, HOD-MCA and faculty members of MCA, MBA were present for program.MCA students performed awareness skit of Cleanliness. All Faculty members and students had taken oath of cleanliness. Also they cleaned college premise.
