Student Development and Welfare

We at PCCOE- MBA believe in holistic development of students. Our philosophy and practice is student-centered: Our goals, decisions, and resources focus on meeting students’ needs and developing them into total professional. We have been developing business leaders and entrepreneurs who can draw up and materialize new concepts in the dynamically-changing environment in the modern business community.

With different cells and clubs like NSS, Sports that are active for student development, we prepare them for their careers with a multi-faceted approach. There are clubs under Student Association that are formed with specific objectives like Art circle club: To provide platform to students, to showcase their talent. Ingenuity club: To enhance creativity and innovation in students. Business knowledge sharing club: To enrich business related knowledge and awareness of the students. CSR club: To instill the spirit of social ethics and values among the students.

Rs. 150 Entrepreneur
Under Ingenuity club of SAMBA, PCCOE MBA has organized an activity, ‘Rs.150 Entrepreneur’, on Tuesday, 12th Jan 2016. The group of students contributed Rs.150 for the business and earned profit in a day. Students learnt about the importance of business idea, its effective implementation, planning and organization. The Faculty coordinators for the event were Prof. Santosh Shinde & Prof. Shilpa Kundle

Social Initiative - Helmet Rally
Institute Social responsibility cell in association with Student Association of MBA dept. organized a helmet awareness rally on Thursday 25/02/16 coordinated by Prof. Santosh Shinde & Prof. Shilpa Kundle. The objective was to catch and educate the masses to follow traffic rules and importance of wearing helmet, to ensure safety. Students made beautiful posters and also presented skit on helmet awareness.

Workshop on Skill Development for Employability
Skill Development for Employability Workshop of three days duration was conducted for MBA-II year students.
Objective : To develop skills essential for success in the Interview and good conduct at the workplace .
Outcome : Students feel prepared to face the interview and ready to work

Workshop On Goal Setting
Prof. Rajesh P. Shirodkar, Corporate Training Faculty conducted a workshop on goal setting on 01/08/2015.
Faculty Coordinator : Prof. Sanjay Gaikwad
Objective : The fundamental idea behind conducting the workshop is that, students should set goals for themselves so that they will have a clear idea on what to achieve, when to achieve and how to achieve.
Outcome :
1. Students able to define goals for personal life as well as for professional life.
2. Students understand how to achieve goals set by them within given resources.

Knowledge Sharing Activity
A Knowledge sharing activity was conducted under Bussiness Knowledge Sharing club of SAMBA. Students were given different topics like 6 Sigma, Make in India, Marketing Concept, GDP, Values &Ethics etc. for presentation. Aso turn by turn students presented national and international news weekly.
Faculty Coordinator : Dr Anuja Johri
Objective : To inculcate the habit of reading newspaper in students and to keep them abreast about national and international happenings
Outcome : Multifaceted development- presentation skills improved, communication improved, thought process increased.

Notice Board Activity
It is the ongoing activity under ingenuity club of SAMBA where students share their thoughts, poems, posters, drawing on notice board. Some of the posters students made include Save Water, picture of Dr. Abdul Kalam and Mahatma Gandhi.
Objective : The objective is to provide platform to students to showcase their talent.
Outcome : Creativity in the form of drawings, thoughts came to fore.

    SAMBA Inauguration
    SAMBA Inaugural was held on 27th August 2015. The chief guest for the program was Dean Student Development and Welfare - Dr. Sheetal Bhandari. SAMBA- Student Association of MBA is formed with the objectives of encouraging and promoting participation among students, developing skills complementary to academic learning and enable students to develop their full potential.

    Workshop on Self Concept & Self Esteem
    A session on “Self Concept & Self Esteem” was conducted on 3rd October 2015 by Dr. Anuja Johri (HOD of MBA Department) from 9.00 to 12.00 pm for MBA first year. The main objective of the workshop was to make students aware about themselves and boost their confidence by loving themselves .Workshop was activity based. Whole workshop was an eye opener for the students. They started to think about themselves. This increased their confidence in themselves.

    Rangoli Competition
    Under Art circle club of Student Association of MBA (SAMBA) the Rangoli competition was organized by MBA Department on 23rd Sept.2015.
    Faculty Coordinator: Prof. Shilpa Kundle
    Objective: The objective was to celebrate the Festival of Colours and appreciating the importance of these beautiful colours in life. More over the motive was also to enhance and derive the creativity of the students.
    Outcome: Artistic sense in students came to fore. They gave very strong social messages though their designs for eg- smoking kills, save girl child etc.

    Poster Competition
    Under Ingenuity club of Student Association of MBA (SAMBA) the Poster competition was organized by MBA Department on 1Oct.2015. The main theme was Indian Success Stories with Global Footprints.
    Faculty Coordinator: Prof. Shilpa Kundle
    Objective:The Basic idea behind the activity was to increase the knowledge about to the company, to provide platform to showcase their talent, creativity and innovation.
    Outcome: It helped improved presentation skills, creative thinking. Students learnt about different aspects of company and also their contribution in development of India.
