Teaching And Learning

Teaching learning process includes academic planning and monitoring, Attendance monitoring, preparation of students for University examination and overall development of the student which includes academic, social, personality and overall development of the students.

1. English Test:

All the students who are willing to take admission in PCCOE should take the following task sincerely:

  • On basis of the basic knowledge of English, a test will be conducted during first semester and based on results of this test; students have to undergo Basic English course.

2. Prerequisite:

Students will get admitted in engineering colleges through CAP. In first year of Engineering, students have to deal with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Fundamental of Engineering. [First year is common for all branches]. Under fundamental of engineering different subject are included among which “Fundamental of Programming languages” is little vast, we recommend our students to go through basics of this subject.

Subject: - Fundamentals of Programming Languages –I & II

Year:- FE Semester –I and II

A) Prerequisite:-

1. Computer fundamentals:-

  • Computer Hardware Basics
  • Computer Units

2. Computer Software:-

  • Algorithm, Flowchart, Documentation
  • C Programming Language
  • C Programming Constructs

B) Teaching Material References Material:-

  • A textbook of C Fundamentals , “Let Us C by Kanetkar “.
  • “Computer Fundamentals “, By P. K. Sinha.

3. Discipline: PCCOE follows strict Discipline within the Campus:

  • Compulsory uniform except on Wednesday.
  • As per the University rule 75% attendance is compulsory, if the student fails to comply, he/she is detained and not allowed to attend the examination.
  • Ragging is strictly prohibited as per the law.

4. Branch wise intake and total divisions in academic year 2015-16 :

First year is common to all engineering branches .The admission to first year engineering is on the basis of a common entrance examination. There are eight divisions of first year in regular shift and three divisions in second shift. The divisions are formed according to the branch :

  • Regular shift :- 9.00 am to 5.00 pm
  • Second shift :- 10.00 am to 6.00 pm

Phase I examination

  • Online , Objective type & of 25 marks
  • EG I is offline
  • Conducted after one month on Unit I and II

Phase II examination

  • Online , Objective type & of 25 marks
  • EG I is offline.
  • Conducted after one month on Unit III and IV

Phase III examination

  • Subjective examination , 50 marks
  • Conducted at the end of the semester on all six units

College unit test I & unit test II are conducted at the time of Phase I and Phase II examinations

7.Extra Curricular Activities

  • State Level Technical Symposium “SPECTRUM” is organized only for First Year Engineering Students.
  • We provide a platform to express views and thoughts of the students in form of “Wall Magazine”.
  • We organize Expert Lectures, Seminars with participation of eminent personalities from industries, research organizations and higher learning institutes.
  • We also felicitate students by organizing Personality Development Programme, Quiz Competition, and Debate competition.
  • Students may participate in distinguished events like Purushottam Karandak, Firodiya Karandak etc.
  • Students may participate in NSS Activities, Annual Sports and Social Gathering.
  • Students may contribute in Annual Magazine / e – Magazine.
