  • Faculty development programmed
    • A Faculty Development Programmed on "LaTeX" was conducted on 18th Nov. 2010 by Center for Quality and Excellence in our college. The resource persons were Prof. K. Rajeswari from Computer Engineering Department and Prof. Jayashree Katti from Information Technology Department. The number of participants for the programmed was limited to only 16 to cater effective training. Two faculties from each department were deputed for the training.

      The main objective of the FDP was to share the knowledge among our internal faculties that the resource persons had gathered from external resources. The Center for Quality and Excellence along with the guidance of Principal sir and help from the management was able to setup a platform for sharing the knowledge among our internal faculties. It was also initiated that these trained faculties from each department will train other faculties of their respective department.

      The programmed was inaugurated in the GDPI hall with the inaugural address of Prof. N. Vivekanandan, In charge, Centre for Quality and Excellence and continued by a motivational video shown by the resource person to the participants. Further training programmed was conducted by the resource person starting with history, purpose, advantages, programming of LATEX and then followed by a practical session in the Computer Center.

      After the completion of the practical session, the valedictory function was addressed by our beloved Principal sir. The certificates were distributed by the principal sir to the participants. Finally the programmed completed successfully on the positive feedback notes given by the participants.

      On behalf of Centre for Quality and Excellence I would like to thank the Principal sir, Management, Head of all the Departments, the resource persons for their kind support, Mr. Sadanand Bhandari and his team of Computer centre for their technical support of installing the software, Mr.Swijal ,T.E.,Comp. for preparing the certificates and Mr.Shantaram Narawade and Mr. Godambe of Mechanical Engg. Dept. for their help in hospitality and seating arrangement
